Mainframe Programmer

Position: Technical Specialist - Mainframe Expert Location: Raleigh, NC (Onsite)Duration: Long-term Contract on W2 (GC/USC Only)Interview Process: Must be available for an in-person interviewKey Responsibilities & Technical SkillsThe ideal candidate will serve as a core mainframe expert, utilizing a deep technical stack including CICS, DB2, Elixir, Endevor, IMS, and JCL. Additional experience with middleware and MQ is highly beneficial.Your core focus will involve:Utilizing thorough knowledge of the Z/OS operating system, its interrelationships, and overall functionality.Providing comprehensive configuration management and release management support and guidance for Endevor software.Applying advanced knowledge of SQL programming language, techniques, and utilities to support DB2.Evaluating complex SQL queries to recommend performance tuning adjustments and cost-saving measures.Delivering CICS administration, troubleshooting, and debugging support while interfacing seamlessly with application developers and DIT personnel.
