We are seeking skilled Electricians to join our team. All work is rotational (xweeks on xweeks off), 11.5+ hour days and based on the North Slope of Alaska. Job Title: Electrician

Hours per day: 11.5 or as assigned

Rotation: 3x3 or as assigned

Reports to: Electrical Supervisor

Purpose of Position:

Install, maintain and repair electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures. Ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes.

Educational Requirements:

High school graduate or GED equivalent.

Completed related studies program preferred, not required.

Experience and Background:

Two years of electrical maintenance experience.

Experience working in remote arctic environment preferred.

Skills in locating and correcting defects in electrical systems, components and equipment.

Team player with good customer service, communication skills and very safe work ethics.

Must be able to read and interpret instructions & manuals.

Have a commitment to excellence – identify what needs to be done and take action to achieve a standard of excellence beyond job expectations.

Ability to adapt to changing conditions and work assignments, prioritize and manage multiple assignments and tasks.

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively (oral and written), able to follow instructions and adhere to company policies & procedures.

Ability to adhere to strict policy and procedures per company HSE program and OSHA requirements.

Certificates, Licenses and Requirements:

State of Alaska Electrical Journeyman Certificate of Fitness

Valid Driver License that meets ICE Services insurance criteria for driving.

North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) Card – preferred, not required.

Must pass a pre-hire drug test, breath alcohol test, occupational fitness test, criminal background check and computer-based testing.

Be at least 18 years of age.

Ability to lift & carry 65 pounds on regular basis, routine walking, standing, bending. There is a lack of immediate access to critical medical services as well as urban community services.

Rotational schedule of at least 11.50 hours per day for a minimum of 21 days consecutively as required.

Essential Functions:

Maintain and repair electrical systems as assigned.

Install and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus and control equipment.

Check and maintain fire alarms in facilities and buildings.

Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors and lighting fixtures and replace damaged or broken wires and cables.

Replace faulty electrical components of machines such as relays, switches and motors.

Observe safety standards and regulations.

Attend training to maintain and/or improve certifications and skills.

Perform other duties as assigned.
