Job Description

A Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) Bar-back will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all QSR seated and standing stations. This associate will service customers as needed, dispose of trash, bus tables, mop, sweep, organize, and complete other duties as assigned. This position truly requires a Jack-of-all-trades!

• Upon bussing tables, will run the dishwasher or wash dishes by hand as needed. Will use & replace sanitizers, soaps, and related solutions every 4 hours or as needed.
• Stocks all stations with collateral throughout the day. Helps to create collateral if it comes unfinished, i.e. pastry boxes, cubes & sleeves of chocolate, etc. Refills guest-facing condiment & coffee bar stations throughout the shift. Maintains the cleanliness of these stations as well.
• Stocks stations with product & supplies as they are depleted.
• Will create product, including, but not limited to: Fresh-Squeezed orange juice; Pre-Scooped gelato pints; etc.
• Responsible for printing product labels, correctly completing product labels (i.e. with the correct dates), stickering labels onto appropriate product, and placing product onto the floor using FIFO. This includes, but is not limited to: pastries, cookies, pre-scooped gelato, cakes by-the-slice, etc.
• Organizes all QSR refrigerators & freezers according to FIFO. Disposes of wasted product where necessary & properly records this in the waste logs.
• Performs daily spot cleanings & weekly deep cleanings of stations as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Outstanding communication and guest service skills
• Experience operating a cash register preferred
• Prior food service experience preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including evenings, weekends and holidays
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting
