Job Title: Safety SpecialistJob DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Safety Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and mitigating compliance risks, facilitating investigations, maintaining required documentation, and performing regular audits. This role also involves training team members and participating in process improvement activities.Responsibilities

Identify and inform management of compliance issues, risks, and improvement opportunities through weekly and monthly audits.

Facilitate investigation processes.

Maintain required paperwork to comply with internal and regulatory standards.

Enter information into internal databases in a timely manner.

Perform observations and audits.

Train and assist area managers and team members in completing their responsibilities, audits, and adhering to rules.

Perform specific training as required.

May have additional responsibilities for fire prevention, hazardous waste management, or other related activities depending on the business unit and location.

Participate in process improvement activities and manage actions to completion.

Essential Skills

Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.

Maintain a calm demeanor in challenging situations.

Minimum of 1 year in an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) related field or a bachelor's degree in a related field.

Knowledge of OSHA regulations, specifically 29 CFR 1910.

Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel in a professional capacity.

Experience maintaining confidentiality in matters involving security and/or personnel issues.

Availability to work flexible shifts, including days, nights, and/or weekends.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in a related field.

Strong communication, teamwork, analysis, judgment, and customer focus skills.

Experience leading and managing a team.

Ability to analyze accident data, new processes, and machinery for potential safety concerns, and conduct job hazard and job safety analyses.

Experience in emergency response and current First Aid and CPR certifications.

Experience in workers' compensation case management.

Experience in healthcare or industrial settings.
