Seasonal Maintenance Technician

Job Description

The Seasonal Maintenance Technician will assist in building maintenance activities including external grounds and internal. Training will be provided on a task-by-task basis by one of the supervisory personnel. This is a temporary position.

Directly reports to Maintenance and Warehouse Manager

Assist in general facility and equipment maintenance and troubleshooting, as well as some vehicle maintenance and general handyman tasks.

Assist with grounds maintenance, including lawn care.

Assist in construction-related tasks as needed, including minor electrical, plumbing and HVAC work and troubleshooting.

Receive shipments and notify appropriate staff of deliveries.

Adheres to internal standards, policies and procedures.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Safely complete assigned duties according to applicable SOP’s and training.

At all times, comply with SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct

Qualifications

Additional hours may be necessary occasionally based on work load.

Job requires working flexible schedule 20-30 hours/week

Language Skills: English required

Mathematical Skills: Basic preferred

Reasoning Skills/Abilities: Basic required

Computer Skills: None needed.

Must be detail-oriented, well organized and able to work independently.

Excellent communications skills required.

Must be able to work safely in a fast paced environment.

Ability to handle a variety of projects effectively, efficiently and with confidentiality.

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Must be able to attend work regularly and dependably.

No travel required.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones.
