Job Description

We are seeking a talented

Test Analyst on an initial

12 Month Fixed Term Assignment. The successful candidate will join our development team to perform

functional testing on our market-leading mortgage lodgement and processing platform

"ApplyOnline".

About the role

  • Provide Testing services on allocated tasks, within SLA
  • Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews and retrospectives for 'customer' teams
  • Collaborate with developers to:
    • understand features/stories to be testedAssist in identifying test requirements and test cases
    • identify priorities for test sequencing
    • provide appropriate defect feedback
  • Prepare and deliver:
    • test cases
    • test data
    • test execution results
    • defect reports
    • and test status summaries
  • Identify opportunities for automated testing
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

What you need

  • Experience creating & managing test cases, data and test scenarios
  • Prior testing experience including functional, end to end, integration and regression testing
  • Experience with Agile development Methodologies
  • Experience writing basic SQL commands (i.eSelect Statements)
  • Experience (Commercial or at University) with any mainstream programming languages: (JavaScript, Java, Python, C#, C, PHP, etc)
  • Unrestricted work rights in Australia (Australian Permanent Residency/Australian Citizenship).

What would be nice

  • Experience testing web API services
  • Understanding of various data exchange formats (XML, JSON)
  • Knowledge / Experience in the mortgage broking industry
  • Tertiary qualified and/or formal testing qualification, supported by strong practical experience.
  • Functional testing experience with the ApplyOnline or a similar XML based Web Application
  • Prior experience validating data against schema definitions (XSD, DTD, JSONSchema)
  • Prior experience with JIRA
  • Prior experience with automated UI testing tools (Selenium)
  • Experience with various transformation languages (XSLT, JavaScript)
  • Experience using browser developer tools.
