Yard Worker

Job Title: Yard WorkerJob DescriptionAs a Yard Worker, your primary duties will include unloading semi trucks of raw steel using a forklift and transporting these to the production area. You'll also be responsible for moving parts from the production to welding, from welding to paint, and from paint to the warehouse before loading them back onto a truck for shipment. Additionally, you may be called upon to assist with strapping down loads onto trucks in the yard, as well as perform the role of a parts runner in the shop. This involves moving steel into the shop from outside, often in various weather conditions. Your role will be split approximately 50% outside and 50% inside.Hard Skills

Work SiteThis is a fully on-site position in Mapleton, North Dakota.Work EnvironmentThe company is a brand-new establishment, specializing in structural steel beams for buildings. As a Yard Worker, you'll spend about 60% of your time operating the forklift, while the remaining 40% will be divided between paperwork and manually unloading steel onto sawhorses, tables, machines, etc. You will be the only person in the yard, often serving as a parts gopher for the welders.
