Description We are in search of an Accountant to be a part of our team in the retail industry, located in PERRYSBURG, Ohio. The ideal candidate will be involved in a range of tasks including processing financial transactions, maintaining accounting controls, and assisting with audits. This role offers a contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Carry out general accounting tasks and other related duties in the accounting department. Compile periodic balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements. Oversee the general ledger and ensure accurate financial records. Confirm the payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensure these payments are charged to the correct accounts. Prepare, post, validate, and record customer payments and transactions associated with accounts receivable. Process payroll through the company's outsourced payroll provider. Process employee expense reports in a timely manner and in accordance with company procedures. Ensure financial security by adhering to internal controls. Assist external auditors by providing necessary account information and documents for annual and periodic audits. Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information. Communicate effectively with vendors, banks, and other employees. Implement and maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems Experience with ADP - Financial Services Knowledge of Cl Programming Familiarity with Concur Understanding of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning Ability to perform Accounting Functions Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Skills in Auditing Proficiency in managing Balance Sheet Account Prior experience in retail industry is a plus Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to work in a team and independently Strong analytical and problem-solving skills High level of integrity and dependability Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
