Description We are in search of a part-time Accounting Manager for our client's operations in STREETSBORO, Ohio. This role will be responsible for driving financial reporting in crucial areas and will involve leading tasks around period close, accruals, and fixed assets. The position is also responsible for Financial Planning & Analysis (FP& A) budget to actual discussions with department heads, among other duties. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Drive financial reporting in key areas Lead work around period close, ensuring all financial data is accurate Handle monthly accruals, ensuring they are processed in a timely manner Manage fixed asset accounting, keeping track of all company assets Conduct Financial Planning & Analysis (FP& A) budget to actual discussions with department heads Utilize SAP S/4HANA for various accounting functions Ensure all accounting practices adhere to company policies and standards Collaborate with other departments to ensure the accuracy of financial statements Perform other duties as assigned by the management teamRequirements Must possess a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in an Accounting Manager role or similar. Required to have expertise in Period End Closing, Monthly Accruals, and Fixed Asset Accounting. Must have substantial experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP& A). Proficiency in using SAP S/4HANA. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is mandatory. Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and leadership skills are required. Must have a solid understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices. Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations. Prior experience in managing and leading a team is preferred. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel skills. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
