Robert Half has an employment opportunity for an Accounting Clerk to support an Accounting department. The Accounting Clerk position will require matching invoices to purchase orders/ vouchers, data entry, and assisting with Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). Aid Accounts Payable: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing
General accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects
Publish financial information to journals and ledgers
Mend discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required
Collaborate with Accounts Receivable: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance
Compose statements and reports that require the utilization of a wide collection of sources
See to the proper coding of documents that require knowledge in determining the proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes Requirements - Data reporting experience is highly desired
Microsoft Excel experience preferred
Account reconciliation experience desired
Proficiency in SQL Queries
Accounts Receivable (AR) experience preferred
Excellent data entry skills
1+ years of relevant experience
Spreadsheet and ERP system experience recommended
AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
Ability to multitask effectively
