Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Specialist based in Akron, Ohio, United States. This role is within the manufacturing industry where you will be tasked with the responsibility of supervising a small team of analysts, generating and sending out invoices, monitoring customer accounts, resolving billing discrepancies, and maintaining accurate financial records. Responsibilities: Supervise a small team of analysts and oversee their work Generate and send out invoices to customers in an accurate and timely manner Monitor customer accounts for overdue payments and take necessary steps to collect outstanding balances Resolve any billing discrepancies and disputes with customers Process incoming payments in various forms such as checks, credit card transactions, and electronic transfers Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure accuracy and completeness Prepare aging reports and other financial analysis related to accounts receivable Communicate effectively with customers to address inquiries and resolve payment issues Use Accounting Software Systems, Great Plains (GPAC), IBM AS/400, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suites for executing accounting functions, accounts receivable, billing functions, and check processing. Requirements Minimum 2 years of experience in an Accounts Receivable role within the manufacturing industry Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems Practical knowledge of Great Plains (GPAC) Experience with IBM AS/400 Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites Understanding of Accounting Functions and Accounts Receivable (AR) Experience with Billing Functions and Cash Activity Familiarity with Check Processing Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication and interpersonal skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, preferred.
