As an Administrative Program Coordinator I, you will:Function as a liaison and administrative, technical and operational resource.

Assist the Director with projects and daily tasks.

Coordinate policy evaluation and implementation.

Identify operational improvement opportunities to create an efficient workplace.

Develop communications and databases.

Join us and experience a culture where opportunities to advance and the support to get there go hand-in-hand.Responsibilities:Reviews, corrects, copy edits, and prepares manuscripts submitted for publication to outside scientific medical journals and grant applications by department staff; prepares and maintains associated records for the departments.

Advises the professional staff regarding publishing procedures.

Coordinates research publication proposals in an electronic tracker; drives, tracks and updates project status.

Conducts literature searches to avoid copyright problems; checks with authors regarding rights and permissions.

Coordinates presentations and meetings held by department staff.

With guidance from Director, leads or coordinates multiple projects and policy initiatives.

Updates, monitors and manages databases.

Develops scorecards and milestones to track progress. Analyzes project improvement and progress.

Reports discrepancies and variances.

Coordinates project prioritization and assists with policy and initiative implementation.

Assists with scheduling, coordination, preparation and communication of meetings.

Attends meetings and records key outcomes.

Supports all office administrative functions.

Develops and maintains updates.

Other duties as assigned.

Education:Associate's Degree required.

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or related field preferred.

Additional progressively responsible experience may offset degree requirement.

Knowledge of scientific terminology and English composition, generally obtained through college level coursework.

Certifications:May require license based on department/Institute need.

Complexity of Work:Requires multitasking, organizational and critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, detail orientation, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in highly interactive team environment.

Must be able to take appropriate action in a stressful environment.

Solid communication and customer service skills.

Knowledge of project management and communication practices preferred.

Strong computer skills, including Adobe, Endnote, Microsoft Excel and other MS applications.

Ability to establish friendly, cooperative working relationships with physicians and support staff and ability to take the initiative.

Work Experience:Minimum of two years administrative experience.

Healthcare experience or related organization preferred.

Experience with software applications.

Physical Requirements:High degree dexterity to operate office equipment and personal computer.

May require extended periods of sitting and frequent standing.

Good visual acuity through normal or corrected vision.

May be required to lift up to 25 pounds.

Personal Protective Equipment:Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
