Description We are seeking an Assistant Controller in the bustling city of Cleveland, Texas. This role is crucial within our financial sector and comes with an exciting opportunity for someone looking to make a significant impact in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, compliance, planning, and analysis.Responsibilities: Take charge of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements preparation and oversight to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Lead the budgeting process in collaboration with department heads, including the development of financial forecasts and regular updates on financial performance. Maintain and enforce internal controls to protect company assets and ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements, including GAAP. Collaborate with external auditors during audits, managing compliance issues effectively. Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and business growth, including variance analysis and the preparation of financial reports for senior management. Oversee the company’s cash management processes to ensure liquidity and effective cash flow while managing banking relationships and optimizing cash management practices. Supervise the accounting and finance team, setting performance goals and providing opportunities for meticulousness and precision. Take responsibility for tax planning, preparation, and filing, ensuring timely and accurate filing of corporate taxes in line with federal, state, and local regulations. Provide ad-hoc financial analysis as required for projects, acquisitions, or other business initiatives. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a related role. Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is essential. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) qualifications are preferred. Demonstrated ability to manage complex financial analysis and reporting.
