Assistant Dispatcher

H.R. Ewell, INC is looking for an Assistant dispatcher for our Dayton, OH Terminal.

We are a family owned and operated company with over 80 years in this industry and growing.

We specialize in bulk food grade transportation services with various products.

Job description

Primary point of contact for drivers

Driver relations and coordinating

Provide 5 Star customer service to our customers

Receive load assignments from customers

Ensure loads are picked up and delivered on time and if not be able to problem solve

Maintain good repour with drivers and focus on driver retention and monitor driver performance

Day time hours with flexibility to after hours driver calls for operational purposes.

Requirements

Ideal candidate will have at least one year of Trucking industry dispatch knowledge

Class A CDL experience is a plus but not required.

Excellent customer service and communicated skills

Ability to work in a fast paced and diverse environment and high stress situations

Excellent interpersonal skills, including attention to detail

Must be able to multi task

Must be tech knowledgeable to learn dispatching systems and use excel

Ability to pass Pre employment drug screen

Knowledge of H. O. S. regulations and DOT laws and requirements
