It's all part of what makes #MyRichmondFed a great place to work!About the Opportunity The Office of the Chief Information Security Officer (OCISO) has an immediate opening for an AVP and Deputy Information Security Officer for the National IT Information Security Office, reporting to the National IT Information Security Officer. We are seeking an enthusiastic and practiced information security leader to join the National IT Information Security Office (NISO). We bring together a multi-disciplinary team of security practitioners to deliver security and compliance advisory services to protect mission-critical applications and systems that support market operations, financial institution supervision, services to banking organizations, services to the U.S. Treasury Department, and internal Federal Reserve System operations.This is a people leader position that both leads and develops a team of information security professionals towards delivering high-quality risk management practices and services. This role will be responsible for executing the mission and operations of the National IT ISO, working closely with technology and security practitioners and senior leaders to understand information security risk and influence decision making that can impact the overall security posture of the Federal Reserve System.What You Will Do:- Deputy Information Security Officer - Represent the NISO in the core duties of security consulting, compliance, and cyber risk management for National IT.
- Deliver Business Value - Advise and consult with key system stakeholders on current threats and risks to increase
- and improve security and reliability of mission critical systems
- Enable Risk Management - Review and recommend policy changes, process improvements, and advocate for
- changes in the application of security capabilities for National IT
- Support Decision-Making - Enable informed risk decisions by senior executive leadership and business line
- executives through written and verbal risk assessments.
- Be an Exemplary Leader - Demonstrate a passion for coaching your team to foster professional growth
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience with 7+ years of relevant security work experience / 3+ years of management or supervisory experience. Prefer a solid, technical security background. Security certifications such as CISSP, SANS, CCSP, CRISC, CIPP/US are a plus.
- Experience in risk assessment, quantification, and management.
- Experience in security compliance and policy management and consulting.
- Understand Governance, Risk and Compliance management
- Security concepts such as Identity and Access Management, Data Management, Network Access Control, Cloud Security is required
