Description We are offering a role for a meticulous Credit Clerk in the telecom industry, based in Akron, Ohio. This role primarily involves handling customer credit applications, managing customer credit records, and addressing customer credit inquiries. Additionally, it includes monitoring customer credit accounts and taking necessary actions for overdue payments. Responsibilities: Handle customer credit applications with precision and efficiency Manage and maintain customer credit records accurately Address and resolve customer credit inquiries in a prompt and detail oriented manner Monitor customer credit accounts and take necessary actions for overdue payments Compile and submit attorneys hours to clients on a monthly basis Review and edit time entries to ensure adherence to client guidelines, internal protocol, and firm guidelines during billing and e-billing submission Coordinate re-submission of invoices with any errors/rejections and ensure corrective measures for future submissions Apply retainer funds as directed by attorneys and process write-offs following firm policy Conduct monthly review and follow-up on WIP aging to ensure that matters on hold meet firm policy or approved for hold Assist with the monthly billing cycle, through month-end close Respond to attorney and client billing requests and inquiries Assist with maintaining all levels of the firm’s rate structures Serve as primary backup to the Accounts Receivable/Collections Coordinator Assist with special projects as required. Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems Experience with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites Understanding of Accounting Functions and Billing Functions Familiarity with Collection Processes Proven Customer Service skills Experience in Billing and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes Knowledge in Collections and Invoice management Understanding of WIP - Work In Progress Ability to handle Aging Accounts and Rebills Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role or related field Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
