Description We are in the non-profit industry, based in Akron, Ohio, and we are seeking a Billing Clerk. As part of our team, your role will be pivotal in managing customer credit applications and maintaining their records. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity, where you will have the chance to play a vital role in our organization.Responsibilities Accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications Maintain up-to-date customer credit records Resolve customer credit inquiries professionally and promptly Monitor customer credit accounts to ensure timely payments Take appropriate actions to collect delinquent payments, ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures Handle claims denials, ensuring they are addressed and resolved in a timely manner Post payments to customer accounts as per the established protocols Be responsible for the payment of bills on behalf of clients Use your skills in Billing, Medical Billing, Claim Denials, and Denials to perform your duties efficiently and effectively. Requirements Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably in the non-profit sector Proficiency in billing procedures and medical billing Experience handling claim denials and denials management Strong understanding of billing software and electronic medical records Excellent organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously Strong communication and interpersonal skills Computer literacy including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure High school diploma or equivalent required, additional certification in Medical Billing or a related field is preferred.
