Job Title: Casting OperatorJob DescriptionAs a Casting Operator, you will be responsible for the organization and housekeeping of the casting area, including cleaning and basic maintenance of related equipment. You will complete pre-cast setups according to the requirements of the casting operation and inspect casting setups for correctness to ensure successful casts. Your duties will include collecting metal samples during casting for quality testing, removing, replacing, and setting up drain pans for continuous operation, and operating a remote control crane as required. You will also perform minor repairs and cleaning of tooling, service troughing, molds, and additional equipment as necessary pre and post cast. Monitoring the cast for any defects and notifying the supervisor if necessary is crucial. Completing reports and logs, and notifying the Control Room Operator of any shortages in consumables or potential production concerns, are also part of your responsibilities.Hard Skills
