Founded in 1837, Cuyahoga County’s safety-net health system operates four hospitals, four emergency departments and more than 20 health centers.Summary:Assists a team of researchers in the department of Infectious Disease with conducting clinical research visits for IRB-approved research protocols. Collaborates with the research team to plan for, deliver, document, and observe the progress of participants enrolled in research studies in accordance with study protocols. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.Qualifications:Required:

High school diploma or passage of a high school equivalency exam.

Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program, a School of Practical Nursing, or equivalent military training. Six months of practical experience (externships included).

One year of recent medically based clerical experience (recent is defined as within the last 6 months).

Experience in collecting data from various software systems.

Demonstrated competence and experience using Microsoft Office software products; Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Knowledge of basic medical procedures and medical terminology.

Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills with patients and other constituents. Must demonstrate good judgment, flexibility, initiative, and the ability to problem solve.

Ability to embrace change and adapt to quickly evolving situations. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Ability to establish and cultivate productive and positive working relationships with a wide range of partners, including MetroHealth staff, external clients, and community constituents.

Organized and detail oriented.

Reliable transportation to travel to multiple MetroHealth facilities and other locations as needed.

Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.Preferred:

One-year practical experience (externships included).

Two years relevant work experiences and/or education.

Previous experience in virtual or mobile clinical care modalities. Fluency in writing, speaking, and interpreting both English and Spanish.Physical Demands:

May need to move around intermittently during the day, including sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and ambulating. May need to remain still for extended periods, including sitting and standing.

Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications. Ability to read job related documents.

Ability to use computer.

Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids. Requires some exposure to chemicals and cleaning product.
