- Design, implementation, and operations of cloud technology platforms
- Managing the availability, integrity and overall operations of assigned applications and the related cloud software and hardware to ensure continuity and achieve a high level of performance
- Leading internal and external resources in the appropriate utilization of cloud technology platforms
- Executing ITSM/ITIL processes to ensure ongoing stable operations and alignment with SLAs
- Steering providers in the execution of tier 2 and 3 support tasks and SLAsResolving escalated support issues
- Commissioning, administering, capacity planning and optimizing the associated hardware and software components
- Planning and executing upgrades and replacements to ensure that hardware and software components remain supported
- Leveraging and enhancing operations tools Managing 3rd party vendors, software and licenses
- Performing routine maintenance, administering access and security levels
- Supporting new initiatives through Startup Management (SUM) processes to provide efficient and stable operations Driving System Management & Application Monitoring
- Ensuring monitoring and correct operation of the assigned system
- Ensuring consolidation of emergency activities into regular maintenance
- Ensuring that proper application monitoring is in place to alert of any support issues Managing Operations Information
- Providing regular forecasts for local infrastructure
- Updating ConnectIT, CMDB and other Operations data repositories to support sound planning and operations
- Analyzing system data (system logs, performance metrics, performance counters) to drive performance improvement
- Demonstrated experience in vendor and partner management.
- Technically competent with various business applications, especially Financial Management systems.
- Knowledge of automotive business processes in retail and wholesale.
- Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
- Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including central IT, clients, and other departments.
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ Years demonstrated success in Information Technology
- 3+ Years in cloud planning, management and operations
- mid-level IT operations/engineering role
- Microsoft Web (IIS)
- Siebel
- Middleware (Biztalk)
- Network infrastructure/operations
- SQL Server
- 2+ Years specializing in IT Application Operations as a mid-level engineer
- 1+ Years of experience participating in Agile projects Key Skills
- Managing/operating in the AWS Cloud, including: Infrastructure as code (terraform, cloud formation)
- AWS networking and security (VPCs, Route Tables, security groups, etc.)
- Identity and Access Management o Experience with EC2 instances, Cloudfront, S3
- Certificate mgmt. and DNS in AWS (route 53)
- Amazon API Gateway
- Demonstrated experience managing/operating Kubernetes in the AWS cloud, including:
- Operating Kubernetes workloads in production (scaling of nodes, pods)
- Deployment support (knowledge of Kubernetes deployment artifacts
- Logging and monitoring
- Security
- Operating Linux
- Bash (and other scripting languages)
- Java builds and deployment, including Maven
