Cloud Solution Lead Architect (Full Time)Location: OH (Remote+ Onsite) Travel Expectation: 10%Duration: Full Time Salary/K Per Annum

Position Description: Cloud Solution Architects (CSAs) play a critical role in working with partners and customers to provide deep technical support of SAP solutions on public cloud models. These solutions may include build and first mile customer engagements such as Proof of Concepts and Architectural Design Sessions (ADS). The CSAs build relationships with partner’s and customer’s technical and development resources while designing and architecting new solutions based on public cloud platforms and technologies. They deliver value via a portfolio of service delivery engagements optimized to accelerate partner and customer solution builds and first mile customer wins while standing out as a technology expert due to deep solutions knowledge.The Cloud Solution Architect Lead is part of a cross-functional team of Sales, Delivery and Operations who interacts with prospects and customers through executive meetings, discovery conversations, solution demonstrations, executive presentations, and follow-up discussions. The Primary role of the Cloud Solution Architect Lead and CSAs is to decompose and understand the customer’s objectives, effectively identify a solution approach to win the business and influence acceptance from the customers with SAP and/or Cloud initiatives. As part of leading opportunity qualification and response, the Cloud Solution Architect Lead collaborates with diverse teams to plan and execute solution proposals using creative and flexible techniques. These solutions span the sales cycle and delivery, migration, financial, and reporting strategies.

Key Areas of Responsibility
  • Understanding Public Cloud Technical Environment
    • Expertise in public cloud including AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform
    • Identifies and evaluates industry trends, and jointly develops technical enablement plans with partners and customers
    • Maintains technical skills and knowledge of market trends, opportunities, and competitive insights
  • Architecture Design & Deployment
    • Champions an existing architecture approach
    • Synthesizes data about partner and customer’s business
    • Applies broad technical, industry, and enterprise knowledge
    • Anticipates technical blockers and adapts methodology to minimize risks
  • Practice Development
    • Connects gaps and patterns across business and technology areas
    • Drives changes and improvements to existing intellectual property, technologies, and/or processes that enable solutions
  • Trusted Advisor
    • Develops and expands existing impactful relationships
    • Creates and sustains constructive tension and trust with partners / customers
    • Leads the adoption of public cloud architecture technologies
  • Thought Leadership
    • Leads virtual teams around technologies and partner challenges
    • Participates in external architect community events
    • Shares learnings with internal team
    • Demonstrates deep industry knowledge and drives recognition for public cloud solutions
  • Solution/Offer/Practice Development
    • Leads execution of architectural engagements, such as Technical Briefings, Proof of Concepts, Architectural Design Sessions, and Hackathons with the goal of defining and bringing new solutions, offers and/or practices to market
  • Technical Events & Community Contribution
    • Attends Digital Transformation/Technology conferences such as Build
    • Participate in technical panels and user groups
    • Provide insights and contributes work that is shared across communities

Key Areas of Performance
  • Lead Delivery efforts to evaluate and rapidly qualify opportunities
  • Lead collaborative activities to plan and identify solutions and implementation/support approaches including identifying the necessary participants
  • Research and document customer / industry solution maps and implementation approaches
  • Understand customers business models
  • Facilitate internal and customer-facing working sessions using thoughtful, innovative approaches
  • Align with stakeholders internally including presales, delivery, and operations by discovering & documenting capability requirements & use cases
  • Maintain a close understanding and appreciation of competitive solutions
  • Compose and deliver superior customer-facing presentations covering SAP, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure, AWS and other partner software solutions
    • Presentations must articulate the message, differentiate NDBS, and leave a strong and positive impression with decision-makers
  • Prepare simple, appealing, and compelling personalized demonstrations / presentations for customers and prospects
  • Deliver live demonstrations / presentations in support of sales cycles
  • Conduct discovery sessions including internal and partner team members in addition to representatives from customers and prospects
  • Has deep knowledge of the Public Sector industry and implementation of SAP and Cloud solutions in the Public Sector
  • Maintains a close understanding and appreciation of competitive solutions

Position Requirements/Qualifications:
  • 4-6 years of relevant Public Cloud experience
  • Deep knowledge in components & services offered by public cloud include AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform
  • Experience working with public cloud technologies in either a consulting or engineering role, with an interest in technical pre-sales
    • Pre-sales experience, demonstrating customer facing, commercial & technical capability, preferred but not essential
  • Presenting to a variety of audiences through use of various mediums such as white boarding, phone / video conference, stage, etc.
  • Comfortable sharing knowledge through both formal and informal methods with customers
  • Experiences with leading customer workshops exploring the requirements and mapping solutions
  • Experience with developing winning themes and then writing technical responses to bids (RFP’s & RFI’s)
  • Comfortable engaging at all levels of a customer’s business, from working with senior/C-level leadership to guiding IT-specialists and developers on building solutions
  • Broad technical background and experience in a variety of technologies and services
  • Good understanding of modern application landscapes and their dependencies on the infrastructure platform
    • Any appreciable application development, DevOps or Big Data experience is not required but would be advantageous
  • Infrastructure knowledge including:
    • Windows and Linux IaaS, Compute, Networking, Storage, Resiliency, Migration techniques, Management Tools, and DevOps
    • additionally good experience required in Containers, Infrastructure Security, and BC & DR
  • SAP on public cloud including AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform:

  • Experience with one or more:
    • Google Cloud Platform, MS Azure, or AWS

    • Integration with and 3rd Party systems/products in Public Sector environments
  • Strong Process and functional knowledge
  • Deep understanding in system architecture, analytical, and design thinking skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills
  • Proven success preparing and delivering superior customer facing presentations and winning sales opportunities
  • Proven success at research, understanding customer business models, and developing winning solutions and implementation / support approaches
  • Ability to lead effective executive workshops leveraging design thinking infusing innovative approaches
  • Ability to perform hands-on work on and lead demos and POC's across cross-functional teams
  • Proven ability to establish strong working partnerships and align with business stakeholders
  • Demonstrated success in qualifying sales opportunities and identifying the appropriate Pre-Sales services and resources to engage
