In this role, the Applications Engineer will influence and develop the future of the organization serving as an active lead for 3 programmers and should posses a strong technical background in turning, milling, and grinding. This is a 1st shift with a flexible start time of 7 AM. Overtime opportunities are plentiful for those that want it as most average 45-50 hours/week. - Program CNC milling, turning, and grinding machines
- Review and enhance current CNC programs
- Document processes including set up information and instructions
- Recommend and implement best machining strategies
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering is ideal
- Strong technical background (turning, milling, grinding)
- Programming, Set up, Operation of CNC machines using G&M codes, including macro variables
- Project management experience incorporating automation (ideally Renishaw probe)
- Experience leading and developing people
- Self motivated and detail oriented
- Thorough knowledge in applied mathematics thru trigonometry with the ability to calculate complex curves and angles
- Extensive working knowledge of aircraft components and repair materials (properties and machinability of high temperature alloys)
