Job Description

We are seeking candidates for a co-op position within the R&D Analytics & Automation group. This assignment is expected to run from either 1)January through June or 2) June through December.

As a co-op at O-I, you will be offered challenging and diverse opportunities with access to a variety of networking and social activities. During the Analytics & Automation Co-op, you will be:

  • Gathering and preparing manufacturing process data for analysis
  • Developing scripts to perform and report statistical and big data analysis
  • Create dashboards to communicate results of analysis
  • Collaborate with other teams (such as IT) to deploy solutions
  • Technical documentation
  • Implementing IIoTs for data gathering
  • Performing experiments (in lab, pilot, and production environments)
  • Preparing technical reports to communicate experimental findings and presenting them to multidisciplinary teams

Qualifications

The

Co-op Analytics & Automation

should have:

  • Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a minor in data science or similar fields, with Junior or Senior status preferred
  • Programming classes (in C, C, R, Hadoop etc.)
  • Demonstrated capabilities in software programming and / or programming for motion control
  • Ability to balance several projects
  • Good interpersonal skills, in particular networking with team members that may only collaborate through remote working
  • Good written communication skills
  • Experience with IoT / IIoTs preferred
