Build strong customer relationships and strategic partnerships to assess customer needs and recommend appropriate products

Execute and drive new strategic growth initiatives and sales growth within aerospace customers

Work with Manufacturing and Quality teams to ensure customer specifications are being met including, design, quality, timeline, budget, etc.

Promote standard and custom engineered solutions to meet customers' needs best

Work internally with technical engineering resources and conduct joint sales visits utilizing internal resources

Negotiate pricing, terms, contracts, and sales conditions that meet commercial standards of company

Monitor and track all sales activity in CRM

5-10 years of experience within the aerospace industry in sales, program management, product line management, or similar roles

Consultative mentality and experience solving problems for customers

Strong analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills

Strong math skills (addition, subtraction, margin calculations)

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Highly organized and ability to work independently and with a team

Our client for the Aerospace Commercial Manager opportunity is a division of a $4 Billion global manufacturer of highly engineered products and systems for the aerospace industry. This company focuses on the Aerospace OEM and Aftermarket segments.The Aerospace Commercial Manager will report to the Site VP and General Manager and be responsible for commercial activity and the overall accountability of the P&L for this division. This includes commercial responsibility maintaining strong relationships with OEM and aftermarket customers, ensuring profitability, cost saving measures, pricing and marketing strategies, current and future market potential, as well as working with cross functional teams such as manufacturing and quality to ensure customer needs are being met with design, cost, timelines, etc. The Commercial Director will report the P&L and overall results to the Division President and Leadership team. This person will have a strong career trajectory into future larger leadership roles such as VP of Sales, VP/GM, and similar depending on performance and capability. This role is based in the Chicago, Illinois suburbs on site. Relocation assistance is available for non-local candidates.Competitive base salary $125,000 - $160,000, bonus, relocation assistance, PTO, full benefits, 401K and growth opportunities within a large diverse organization.
