Here, you'll have the opportunity to grow your career, master new skills for the future, and join a diverse, inclusive community of professionals that embrace teamwork and innovation.The Programs & Governance Leader will report to the Head of Controls for Chase Auto and is responsible for running targeted projects for strategic improvements in the control management organization, and supporting the ongoing maturity of existing governance programs. The ideal candidate will possess a working knowledge of operational risk management practices, be self-motivated and self-directed, and thrive in a high-visibility work environment.Job Responsibilities include and may not be limited to:

Manage a team of 2-3 members

Represent the Head of Controls for Chase Auto when necessary and interface with various business executives and Control Program stakeholders within and outside of CCB to help drive the Control agenda.

Coordinate the Chase Auto Control Committee and serve as the committee secretary - gaining exposure to Chase Auto leadership team, coordinating the agenda and producing the material each month.

Manage the Chase Auto's Material Risk Inventory - working with business leadership on updates, represent Auto in working groups, partnering with Finance on risk valuations.

Supervise activities and projects associated with the firm's Control and Operational Risk Evaluation (CORE) framework

Supervise our issue management process: issue creation, root cause analysis, and action plan validation activities with a bias toward data-driven control evaluation

Reporting for various purposes - run our weekly executive update, monthly updates for business reviews and regulators

Oversee the Metrics and KPIs for Chase Auto that are linked with Controls

Champion initiatives that innovate our team's work processes. In the short-term, drive adoption of Microsoft Teams for opportunities to streamline our activities including document collaboration.

Supervise our team's document management and retention

Special projects as needed

Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

Preferred location: Columbus, OH or Plano, TX

10+ years of relevant experience in operational risk management; financial services industry or background in Process Improvement or Risk Management preferred

A strategic thinker with a focus on innovating governance processes; comfortable with ambiguity in order to evaluate and transform activities

Strong risk and control acumen, with attention to detail around documenting attributes of operational risk management

Demonstrated ability to challenge the status quo and proactively network with business and cross functional peers (i.e. Controls, Risk, Compliance Legal, Audit) in order to obtain the best solution quickly

Proven manager who can train and develop employees on risk/control concepts and the application to risk and control evaluation

Continuous learner, holistic thinker, change agent

Strong organization and planning skills

Ability to communicate appropriately and influence across all levels of the organization

Ability to craft and deliver clear and concise updates to senior level stakeholders

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Teams and PowerPoint) and the ability to develop executive presentations

Flexible, adaptable to shifting priorities; able to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment

Minimal to no travel is required
