Contract Delivery Driver

Job description

Looking for a Contract Delivery Driver to support our growing sales operation with delivery driving to Lexington and Louisville from Florence, KY. This job will involve delivering two days a week, between Tuesday and Thursday. Ideally, as a contract driver, you have your own vehicle.

We're looking for someone in the Cincinnati metro area to pick up product at our KY warehouse and deliver wine to shops and restaurants in Lexington and Louisville. You'll work independently with minimal oversight and be required to safely manage deliveries and our vehicles. Delivery driver experience is preferred.

About us: Voyager Beverage is an independently owned importer and distributor of low-intervention wine, cider, and sake. We currently serve the Cleveland, Columbus. Cincinnati, Dayton, and Kentucky metro areas since 2021. We’re passionate about bringing our portfolio of beverages to Ohio for the first time, purveying only small lot, organically farmed, natural wines and ciders.

Our namesake comes from the sense of adventure we feel about natural wine and cider. Whether it’s a pet nat from Italy or a co-fermented cider from New York, we seek adventure and hope others can enjoy the ride, too.

Culture: You’d be an early non-sales hire, and have the autonomy to structure your responsibilities, create your routes, and, generally, have flexibility. You’d be treated as a support function for the sales team, and play a critical role in the growth of a small company. There will be opportunities for growth and advancement as the company develops

Who you are:

Systematic—You crave order from chaos, and you’ll be asked to build a system for organizing a warehouse and executing deliveries

Reliable—We make deliveries every week, and transporting product is the crux of the whole matter. Accounts need to know wine can be delivered when they need it

Ambitious—As the company grows, the operational problem set will only build, and you’ll have the opportunity to create systems and even hire a team

Requirements: Tue and Thur availability, and your own delivery vehicle

Status: Independent Contractor

Comp: Compensation: Negotiable but roughly $200/day

Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
