Controller

Description Robert Half is seeking a controller for a large manufacturing company in Cincinnati. The controller will be responsible for all month end close functions, internal controls, and financial reporting. The controller must have manufacturing experience . Earlier experience in public accounting is highly valued

Prior work in technology, analytics and management experience desired

Outstanding communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations

CPA or MBA preferred

7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred

BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field

Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines

Sharp, analytical thinking abilities, always seeking to draw connections and identify the "why"

Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills

Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity

Quality experience with SAP

General familiarity with Monthly Account Reconciliation

Previous experience working with Shared Services

Well-founded grasp of Month-end Journal Entries

Practical knowledge of OneStream

Good understanding of international financial reporting standards

Earlier work involving IFRS Accounting

Deep understanding of financial reconciliation

Month end closings experience highly desired

Knowledge of External Financial Reports

Solid understanding of Annual Financial Reporting

Proven knowledge of Month-end Close Activities

Wide ranging experience with Annual Internal Audit

Foundational knowledge in financial reporting

Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
