Description We are extending an invitation for a Controller to join our team based in Cleveland, Ohio. The role is central to our finance operations, ensuring the smooth running of all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems while adhering to GAAP standards and regulatory requirements. You will be instrumental in coordinating audit activity, analyzing financial data, and maintaining internal controls and safeguards.Responsibilities: Oversee all financial, project/program, and grants accounting, ensuring expenditures are consistently aligned with grant and program budgets throughout the grant period. Monitor and track the performance of invested assets following policies and investment guidelines. Assist in the annual budgeting and planning process by developing and tracking operational and programmatic budgets. Maintain fixed asset depreciation and amortization lapsing schedules and capital expenditures. Analyze financial data consistently and present financial reports in a timely manner to keep senior leadership informed of the organization's financial status. Administer and review all financial plans and compare to actual results for the purpose of identifying, explaining, and correcting variances as appropriate. Establish finance and administrative systems in collaboration with department heads to support program operations. Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with GAAP standards and regulatory requirements. Be the primary point of contact for external auditors and coordinate all audit activity. Support the CFO in engaging board's finance and audit committees around issues and trends in financial operating models and delivery.
