Controls Engineer - Wooster, OH - OnsiteWe are currently hiring for an experienced Controls Engineer to support systems integration and programming for an OEM within the food industry! This role will be fully onsite and will require up to 20% travel per year. This is a drug and tobacco free company, the onboarding process requires a nicotine and hair follicle test. No smoking is allowed onsite.Job Responsibilities:
Develop, install, and commission plant controls & automation systems
PLC programming in ControlLogix
HMI development in Wonderware (Aveva)
MES support / data collection
Troubleshoot automation issues through internal help desk system
Design & specification of plant control system architecture (including control panels, hardware, and communication protocols)
Partner with 3rd party controls engineering partners
Commission VFDs
Travel to other internal sites (up to 20% of the year, one week at a time max)
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a similar field
8+ year of controls programming experience from scratch
Advanced ladder logic programming within Allen Bradley PLCs
SCADA
ControlLogix
Advanced HMI Development
Liquid movement controls experience
Nice to have:
MES
Food and beverage industry experience
10+ years of relevant experience
Wonderware (Aveva Archestra)
.NET
SQL
