Job Title: CT Angio/Quality TechnologistUnit: CT ScanShift: 9p-730a Mon-Thurs with Holiday and Call RotationFacility: MVHPosition Summary:Performs all diagnostic CT procedures and CT directed interventional procedures on patients of all ages using ionizing radiation producing equipment. Complies with established policies, procedures, and standards regarding quality, customer satisfaction, positive work environment, and financial stewardship. Works under the scope of practice and in accordance to certificate/licensure in the administration of medications, operation of technical equipment, and venipuncture, including but not limited to PICC lines. Under the Direction of the Medical Imaging Manager and the Medical Director, the CT/MRI/PET-CT angiography specialist coordinates all of the acquisition and post processing functions of the CT/MRI/PET-CT angiography program. The individual is responsible for staff education, medical staff education, procedure development, quality assurance, and technology advancement for CT/MRI/PET-CT Angiography and other 3D imaging products. This position requires the individual to be available for consult and direct the program quality on a 24-hour basis. The individual will also be responsible in conjunction with appropriate individuals to promote the CTA/MRA/PET-CT service to the Medical Staff and public.Essential Duties & Functions:

Work with multiple physician specialties (cardiologists, radiologists, surgeons, etc.) to determine needs and deliver/develop appropriate imaging studies.

Assess customer & co-worker needs, determine the appropriate action, and appropriately assist as needed.

Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and the technical factors necessary to produce high-quality non-invasive angiographic procedures.

Develop procedures & protocol in conjunction with Medical Imaging managers.

Responsible for accurate billing & reimbursement issues related to the MRI and CT programs.

Coordinates and manages the Imaging Reconstruction Program, including training technologists and physicians, maintaining competencies, and monitoring quality measures.

Works closely with the PACS team to ensure appropriate storage and transmission of angiographic data.

Functions as an Imaging Technologist as needed.

Follows radiation and MRI safety policies and procedures.
