- Develops, implements, and maintains project implementation security strategies, standards and protocols within the organization.
- Responsible for the ongoing activities to preserve the availability, integrity and confidentiality of information resources in compliance with applicable security policies, standards and guidelines in support of varying Technology Services projects.
- Acts as an advocate and champion for improving the organizations cyber security posture by consulting and collaborating with both internal and external business partners on integrating security initiatives into the project planning and implementation process.
- Provides oversight and direction on design execution of cyber security project initiatives; ensures cyber security tools and assets are operational and providing the intended level of protection.
- Monitors and reviews external cyber security data sources and threat intelligence to identify new and emerging threats and advises appropriate leadership on changes that would affect the organizations cyber security posture when implementing new software and services.
- Evaluates and monitors organizational information technology assets to identify any potential weaknesses, ensure compliance with applicable policies, standards and guidelines and triage, and coordinate response to cyber security related incidents before and during project implementation.
- Works with business partners and vendors to review requirements and evaluate proposals and contracts to identify potential risks and ensure that information security requirements are included and consistent with organization goals and objectives.
- Leads development, documentation, and maintenance of cyber security strategies, policies, procedures, standards and guidelines, supports organizational compliance initiatives, and facilitates and promotes information security awareness in support of project initiatives.
- Leads cyber security risk management efforts as part of project work, including performing assessments, identifying risks, coordinating the development of plans for mitigation, and reporting status to enterprise risk committee and senior leadership
- Five (5) years of experience performing cyber security architecture or engineering, or equivalent of education and years of experience
- Industry recognized security certifications preferred (CISSP, CISM, CISA, SANS/GIAC)
- Industry accepted security assessment methodologies and authorization processes
- Risk management processes, procedures, methodologies, and mitigation strategies
- Applicable laws, regulations, policies, standards and ethics as they relate to cyber security and privacy
- Information security principles and practices
- Principles and practices of basic bookkeeping
- Modern office procedures, methods and computer equipment
