Position Title: DBA - SRE (Site Reliability Engineer) Location: Westerville, OH Expected Duration (possible extension): 10 Months Contract to Hire

Job Responsibilities: As an Application Site Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, deploying, automating, supporting, and monitoring a growing suite of applications that are being refreshed to new banking architecture inside of the Branch Platforms space. These are highly available, large scale applications that interface with multiple external end points, vendors, and internal teams. Object oriented programing experience, scripting and a strong working knowledge in SQL Server are required. You will work closely with development teams throughout application life cycles to improve performance, remediate bugs, close breaks, and develop automation, features, and monitoring. The job also includes ticket work in ServiceNow along with performing patching, deployments, resiliency tests, and repaves.

This role involves a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • Support Experience
  • Development Experience
  • Expertise in relational databases (MSSQL), HA/DR, Performance Tuning
  • Proficiency in T-SQL, PowerShell, and working with APIs
  • Experience in C#, Java, Python, or another Object-Oriented language
  • Exposure to Cloud technologies including AWS, MS Azure, Gaia, Jules
  • Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals
  • Passionate about increasing efficiency through automation
  • Passionate about continuous improvement
  • Experience with Kafka is a plus
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience is a plus

Proficient in application development skills for more than one technology as well as multiple design techniques Working proficiency in development toolset to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software Strong understanding of Agile methodologies with ability to work in at least one of the common frameworks Strong understanding of techniques such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Test Driven Development, Cloud Development, application resiliency and security Proficiency in one or more general purpose programming languages Working proficiency in a portion of software engineering disciplines and demonstrates understanding of overall software skills including business analysis, development, testing, deployment, maintenance and improvement of software
