Supervises employees and the technical and administrative functions of the assigned group. Acts as a technical resource for team members. Implements goals consistent with assigned clinical and non-clinical units to achieve goalsResponsibilities:Supervises employees in daily operations.

Maintains staffing levels, approves and schedules paid time off and leave requests.

Provides leadership and training.

Coordinates and provides orientation and education.

Analyzes workflow and procedures.

Identifies and implements opportunities to improve procedures, processes, speed, quality and effectiveness.

Ensures cross coverage.

Develops effective work team.

Encourages and supports morale building activities and positive attitudes.

Communicates with employees and provides orientation on policies.

Other duties as assigned.

Education:Associate’s degree.

Certifications:None required.

Complexity of Work:Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Knowledge of supervision, training/development and public relations practices.

Must be able to take appropriate action in a stressful environment.

Work Experience:Minimum two years related supervisory experience.

Healthcare experience in a large organization preferred.

Offset: High School diploma/GED and four years of experience

Physical Requirements:Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time.

Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 25 pounds.

Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.

Requires dexterity sufficient to operate a computer in the course of work.

Will require the ability to operate various types of powered material handling equipment.

Available 24/7 through an issued pager and cell-phone.

Personal Protective Equipment:Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
