Position SummaryMoorecroft Systems is seeing a consultant for an exciting consulting opportunity. The DevOps Engineer will build, configure, and maintain IT infrastructure, systems, and advanced tooling to automate processes and streamline CI/CD pipelines and deployments. This is a long-term consulting engagement 12 months+

Responsibilities
  • Google Cloud Experience
  • Engage with delivery team and provide technical expertise in DevOps
  • Administration of DevOps tools like Git, Jenkins, SonarQube, Nexus Pro, Jira, Puppet etc.
  • Implement DevOps processes and CI/CD tools to automate software delivery platform on premise or in the Cloud
  • Automate configuration and builds of new environments using configuration management and provisioning software
  • Implement Security tools into the CI/CD toolchain
  • Assist with implementation of test automation strategy and processes
  • Implement version control and artifact repositories
  • Implement continuous monitoring solutions

Additional Responsibilities
  • Integrate best of breed tools into the CI/CD toolchain
  • Assist with the ongoing development of processes, services, assets and training materials
  • Standardize software installations, logging locations, and environment dependencies

Experience
  • 3+ years of experience with administering DevOps tools, i.e. Atlassian, Cloudbees, GitHub, GitLab, Sonatype, Veracode
  • 3+ years of experience with administering provisioning and configuration management tools like Puppet, Chef, Ansible
  • 3+ years of experience with administering SaaS environments
  • 3+ years of experience with OS System administration (Linux, Windows)
  • 2+ years of experience with containers and microservices
  • Previous participation in the design of deployment automation and experience supporting deployments
  • Hands on experience implementing technologies in the areas of Software Configuration Management, Environment Management, Testing Lifecycle Management, Release Automation, Workflow Management, Defect Management, and Cloud
