Receives payment by cash, check, credit card and debit card.
Issues receipts, change, credits or refunds to customers.
Counts money in cash drawers at the beginning and end of each shift to ensure correct balance.
Maintains clean and Organizational checkout area.
Other duties as assigned.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED.
Certifications:
None required.
Complexity of Work:
Requires the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Work Experience:
Previous cashier experience preferred but not necessary.
Physical Requirements:
Able to stand for long periods of time.
Able to push, pull, lift and move items up to 25 pounds.
Must have manual dexterity to operate cash register.
Requires frequent repetitive hand movements
Personal Protective Equipment:
Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
