Our talented people empower us, and we believe in being part of a team that is open, collaborative, entrepreneurial, passionate and above all fun.About the teamFIS Merchant Solutions Servicing team is responsible for building the Merchant Communication Hub microservices platform including all omni-channel, Interactive Voice Response (IVR) and Chatbot applications.What you will be doingFIS is looking for a Development Director to join our Merchant Solutions Servicing Team. In this role, you will be responsible for the overall Merchant Communication Hub and Interactive Voice Response platform design, development and delivery for our clients.Extensive experience in customer servicing & digital transformation, Business Process Automation, and Implementation.Extensive experience in working with multi-skilled teams (one or many - Data Analytics, UX Designers, Software Engineers, and QA Engineers) on projects that touch a range of technical platforms.Strong ability to work with both business and technology stakeholders. Engages in strategic solution design with cross-functional teams focusing on integration, best practices and enterprise re-use.Leads and develops technical professionals to ensure career growth and achievement of organizational goals including interim and annual performance reviews.Designing and developing applications while managing the full software development lifecycle.Performing product design, bug verification and beta support.Working as a manager with responsibility for hiring, firing, performance appraisals and pay reviews.Identifying and allocating technical resources and forecasting resource needs.What you bring:Bachelor’s degree in computer science or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.Knowledge of management reporting, operational procedures, and management information systemsExcellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization, e.g., executive, management, individual contributorsExcellent decision-making, problem-solving, team-building, organization, negotiation, conflict management and time management skillsStrong coaching and mentoring skillsAbility to negotiate effectively and deal with highly complex, confidential and sensitive informationAbility to work closely with executive management to provide essential information, make recommendations and affect changeWillingly shares relevant technical and/or industry knowledge and expertise to other resourcesProven project management skillsExperience with Java RESTful API development including microservices, NoSQL databaseDemonstrated software development experience with event driven application designExperience with AWS Cloud technologies including EKS, MSK and RDS.Interactive Voice Response (IVR) and Contact Center application development experienceTest automation expertise with a focus on IVR and Restful API servicesWhat we offer you:A career at FIS is more than just a job.
