Description: 1st shift 8:00am-5:00pm (there may be some OT) Pay Rate: $20-$22 Candidate will be responsible for drop off, installation and pick up of portable AC units daily Candidate will be driving a small box truck Spot Coolers supplies clients with portable Air Conditioning units when theirs is out of service or if they need extra air conditioning during the summer months. Their clients could offices, retail spaces, or warehouses. These “Spot Coolers” are like a window AC but bigger and on wheels. The candidate will respond to calls from clients when they need their Spot Cooler picked up from their location or if they need a Spot Cooler installed. The candidate does not need Commercial Drivers License to drive the company truck- they do need to pass a DOT screening. The candidate will be trained on how to run portable duct work into the ceiling at the client site and turn on the AC. This position does require the candidate to be able to you basic hand tools. The candidate must also be able to get the Spot Cooler on and off of the truck that has a ramp on it. Their client’s locations are not all in the Cleveland area. They may be responsible for driving to Cleveland, Canton, Akron, Dover, New Philly, and sometimes they may drive to Columbus. If their trip is to anywhere that’s over an hour away they will be made aware a day in advance. The candidate will be providing a service to the clients and be the face of Spot Coolers so they must be able to communicate well with clients.Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Must have customer service and problem solving experience. (customer service does not need to be a call center environment- general dealing the public etc.)
Must be self-motivated. Time management is crucial for the position.
Must have valid driver’s license.
Must be able to lift 50lbs and capable of climbing on a ladder when necessary. The ladder height will be 6 to 8 ft tall.
Must be able to use hand tools such as screw driver, plyers and wrenches.
Must be open to working some Saturdays if there is an emergency call.
Must get DOT certified if offered the position in order to drive box truck.
