Job Title: Electrical Project ManagerJob DescriptionWe are looking for an Electrical Project Manager to help us continue to capture and execute new projects, growing our market share in the Metals industry. This individual must be able to: 1) Manage, design, checkout, and commission PLC-controlled equipment used in the metals industry, including material handling systems, steel and aluminum process control systems, transfer cars, automated cranes, and more. The electrical equipment often includes power distribution, variable speed drives, positioning systems, instrumentation, PLCs, and HMIs. Familiarity with the National Electrical Code is required. 2) Understand and program PLC and HMI code and relate it to machine or process operation. 3) Study schematics, equipment layout, manuals, and other specifications to determine installation and wiring procedures of electrical devices on mechanical equipment. 4) Install or oversee the installation of equipment according to manufacturer's specifications. 5) Consult with mechanical engineering personnel to resolve problems in system operation and maintenance. 6) Interpret maintenance manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams, and repair equipment using knowledge of electronics and standard test instruments and hand tools. 7) Instruct and direct workers in building OEM equipment. 8) Help supervise client’s personnel in testing, tuning, and adjusting equipment to obtain optimum operating performance. 9) Advise management regarding customer satisfaction, product performance, and suggestions for product improvements. 10) Travel up to 25% based on the project workload. 11) Work with equipment manufacturing personnel to develop machine conduit layout, shipping splits, and checkout procedures. 12) Be able to work in a heavy industrial environment. 13) Provide system training once installation is complete. 14) Build long-term relationships with the customer base. 15) Answer customer support phone calls after shipment and act as a liaison to Mechanical Project Engineers with technical problems at the customer’s site. 16) Coordinate with in-house panel shop and electricians for building control panels and wiring equipment in the shop for testing. 17) Manage designers and automation engineers assigned to your projects. 18) Implement and follow a schedule and budget per project in conjunction with the Mechanical Project Manager. 19) Multitask to manage several projects at once with different designers, automation engineers, and Mechanical Project Managers.Hard Skills

Electrical Engineering or technology background

Designing and commissioning industrial control systems

Programming PLCs, Drives, and Automation systems

HMI development on Siemens, Rockwell, and Wonderware platforms

PLC software engineering on Siemens and Rockwell platforms

MS Office, PowerPoint, Excel

Design and reading Single Line Layouts using AutoCad Electrical

Panel design

AC and DC Drive systems commissioning

Project management

Soft Skills

Strong technical aptitude

Good communication skills

Ability to multitask

Building long-term customer relationships
