SUMMARY:  ELS & Quality project leader will develop, maintain, and ensure compliance with quality assurance programs, policies, and processes.  The incumbent is a Lean/Six Sigma expert, who uses the tools of Lean/Six Sigma to identify opportunities at the site or within a functional area to improve business results and drive continuous improvement.  Responsible for interpreting policies and regulatory/global ops regulations to ensure compliance.  Will work directly with the operating areas to assist or complete inspections, process control analysis, and audits as required.  The individual will manage manufacturing and service functions to establish quality and ELS standards and improvements for raw material, work in process, and finished products.REPRESENTATIVE ACTIVITIES: Activities and duties will vary depending upon functional area assigned.  Activities may include, but are not limited to: General Develop, manage and execute appropriate business plans/multi-generation product plans to identify trends and opportunities for marketplace advantage and new ideas for products, processes and services. Execute the most diverse, complex and difficult projects or tasks within guidelines of policies and procedures.Analyze supply chain and help identify projects or process changes.Identify, direct and lead ISO, continuous improvement, and quality assurance projects and activities to improve process consistency/layout/flow, reduce costs, remove barriers, and increase the quality and output of the end product.  Develop, analyze, and manage quality expenses.Provide project management and technical leadership within cross-functional teams, including local and/or global quality and ELS teams. Communicate with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers and customers.Responsible for clear, focused leadership to further reduce the barriers to delivering competitive advantage via global size and scale.  Documents results, researches, interprets, and tests methods to satisfy and develop objectives.  Writes technical summaries.Develop quality Objectives, Goals, Strategies and Measures (OGSM) for assigned area and confirm linkage to global business strategies.Use the Value Stream Map to establish the baseline process and measure progress.Track and report metrics, results, and issues to Manager.Lead benchmarking of quality and process and related topics in support of divisional goals.Employee Development & ManagementModel and promote the Corporation’s Code of Business Ethics and Values.Be a change agent – challenge old ways of doing business and implement breakthrough improvements, motivating others to adopt and take ownership of new processes.Positively lead and influence team members to partner together to achieve individual and business goals.Regularly train, monitor, mentor, educate, and evaluate team members. Provide development opportunities.Develop in-depth understanding of Enterprise Lean Sigma philosophy and methods as demonstrated by successful implementation and certification in these areas.Ensure annual goals are complete and communicatedAttract, retain and develop high potential talent.Coordinate team efforts, create and manage a regional strategy and team operating plan.
