ResponsibilitiesThis position will be responsible will be responsible to prototype, testing and process documentation of all aspects of R&D and Product Building. This R&D location is responsible for around 700-800 prototypes per year that are sent to other sites for further verification and testing. Manage the manufacturing and assembly process relative to the up-fitting of vehicles Perform a variety of assembly operations using hand tools, power tools and other equipment Verify completed assemblies meet engineering requirements to fulfill customer needs Responsible for working with the Operations Team for meeting timelines and development of on-site early unit production Assist in the identification, implementation, and evaluation of lean initiatives to increase productivity and efficiency rates Coordinate with engineering, quality, operations purchasing and others to develop processes Coordinate with Quality Engineer to identify quality concerns and help develop and implement corrective actions Analyze and support engineering deviations and change requests MUST HAVES:-Proficient experience working with variety of hand tools, power tools and other equipment used in automotive settings -Vehicle teardown and re-build experience -Blueprint reading -Ability to perform electrical and mechanical assemblies NICE TO HAVES:-Vehicle prototype development experience -Strong technical bckgrnd in automotive driveline systems -Electric Vehicle experience -High voltage safety knowledge preferred. -Safety certifications -Electrical system diagnostics bckgrnd and experience About Actalent: Actalent connects passion with purpose.
