Environmental Specialist

Primary responsibilities will include research of environmental regulations and preparation of permit applications, plans and other project documents. Stormwater experience a plus but not required. This position will primarily be in a remote office environment but will also require travel to client facilities to conduct environmental compliance reviews and/or gather related data.What you can expect from APTIM:

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

Research of Federal, State, and Local regulatory codes

Prepare documents and applications for submittal to regulatory agencies

Work independently or as part of a project team

Time management to ensure a quality product is prepared to meet project deadlines

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, or related degree required

1-2 years of experience with environmental regulatory compliance, stormwater experience preferred

Able to work remotely and to travel to different facilities as needed.

Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Must have strong written and oral communication skills

Strong computer skills required, including strength and proficiency in Microsoft applications such as MS Excel, MS Word, SharePoint Online, etc. and the ability to learn and use other software applications.

Valid Driver's License

Current HAZWOPER certification desired, but not required
