Transports injured or ill fans from seat, concourse or venue proper to care center.

Performs primary assessment of patient and determines appropriate independent or collaborative response.

Administers basic first aid care to patients at care center.

Collaborates and communicates with other medical personnel on-site or at hospital through to patient disposition.

Other duties as assigned.

Education:

Completion of an accredited Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic (EMT-P) training program.

Certifications:

Current licensure as an Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic (EMTP) in the current State required.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Experienced Provider Instructor or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Experienced Provider through American Heart Association (AHA) required.

Complexity of Work :

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Work Experience:

One year as functioning EMT-A. Firefighter experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to provide hands-on medical care for patients (audience members) at various sporting event locations (arenas)

Ability to transfer patients to and from patient cots and bed.

Ability to move 10 to 25 pounds frequently and 75-100 pounds occasionally.

Personal Protective Equipment :

Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
