Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a meticulous Bookkeeper in Cleveland, Ohio. This role is primarily focused on the management and operations of customer credit in the financial services industry. You'll be working onsite and will be instrumental in processing customer credit applications, maintaining customer credit records, and resolving customer credit inquiries. Responsibilities: Verify checks received from members for completeness and accuracy Ensure daily receipts, journal totals, and control postings are properly recapped and proved Prepare month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings, along with financial reports and member statements Perform day-to-day computer operating functions and maintenance of electronic data processed journals and ledgers Process insurance claims and monthly premium reports Reconcile the corporate bank statement on a monthly basis and handle ACH transfers, draft processing, and accounting entries Pay Credit Union bills as approved Prepare staff payroll and tax reports Maintain and update customer credit records regularly Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments.Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems High proficiency in Microsoft Excel Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites Experience with Microsoft Outlook Understanding of Accounting Functions Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) Familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR) Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations Experience with Billing FunctionsRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
