Full Stack Developer

Full Stack Developer Operates independently to:

• Lead developer with proven experience building enterprise systems and collaborating with multiple teams
• Coaching / mentoring of development staff in development best practices
• Designs, develops, tests, debugs, maintains and documents software systems, components, and utilities
• Provides technical support for Claims Lab including working with Platform Ops for PCF and troubleshooting related to building environments
• Performs complex maintenance and problem resolution on software application
• Collaborates with other departments on requirements, design, standards, and architecture of applications
• Adheres to standards for software development with emphasis on test driven development and quality of software
• Develops time estimates for project deliverables
• Participate in daily paired programming
• Promotes Agile Scrum development methodology
• Develop unit test cases for testing changes
• Support testing activities and resolve issues identified
• Work within a development team using Agile methodology to deliver software
• Work across the organization to provide business process or design recommendations consistent with long-term business and IT strategy

• 5+ years experience with development of Java web applications
• 5+ years knowledge of JavaScript and Vue front end development
• 5+ years complex SQL writing experience
• 5+ years experience with Java IDE such as IntelliJ
• 2+ years of paired programming
• 2+ years experience developing applications using microservices framework
• Preferred experience with MarkLogic and/or RabbitMQ
• Experience with developing Cloud Native Applications (Pivotal Cloud Foundry)
• Experience with Test Driven Development
• Experience with GitHub or other source control tools
• Experience with log analysis
• Monitoring tools experience - Dynatrace experience a plus
• Experience with webservice/API development (REST, SOAP)
• Experience with web based data formats (XML, JSON)
• Experience with webservice testing tools (SoapUI, Postman)
• Experience writing unit tests, acceptance tests
• Experience with cloud-native development (Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Kubernetes)

• Experience with build and deployment tools (Gradle, Maven, Concourse, Jenkins)
• Experience with an API first mindset

• Agile Scrum development methodology experience
• Demonstrated ability to establish priorities, organize and plan work to satisfy established timeframes
• Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously

• Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with associates at all levels within the organization
