- Will become a lead level subject matter expert on all technology stacks within the portfolio.
- Will display strong communication and collaboration skills frequently working with other enterprise IT and business partner resources on a daily basis.
- Will learn the business processes, controls and workflows supported by each technical solution and fluently communicate between technical and non-technical audiences.
- Will act in a tech lead role on project teams, working with business analysts on requirements, providing development estimates, writing technical design documents, and proposing technical solutions for small to mid-sized projects in adherence with Huntington standards.
- Will be able to perform technical assignments independently as well as in team settings.
- Will show drive and interest in learning new systems, applications, technologies, and business domains.
- Will frequently work with outside / Cloud based vendor technical teams in support of configurations and interfaces into internal applications.
- Will show an understanding of the industry standards and practices and the knowledge of technical industry trends as they apply to Huntington.
- Must be willing to be part of a rotating 24x7 on-call support schedule.
- Bachelors degree in a Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field.
- 5+ years in a technical development role including solution design level.
- Advanced knowledge in Microsoft and/or Java web application technology stacks including Windows, Visual Studio, .Net, C#, IIS, Linux, J2EE, Springboot, Maven, Eclipse
- Advanced knowledge of web service / SOA technologies including WCF, SOAP, WSDL, REST, Web API's, XML & JSON including designing for performance, security, and scalability.
- Working knowledge of SQL Server and Oracle database platforms including schema management (DDL) and stored procedures.
- Working knowledge of client scripting such as jQuery, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
- Working knowledge of DevOps tools including GIT, Jenkins, TFS, ADO
- Working knowledge of enterprise scheduling / orchestration tools (Zena)
- Working knowledge of application architecture concepts including web server configurations (IIS, Apache), Load Balancing (F5, hot/hot, hot/cold), Java Virtual Machines, Identity and Access Management (SSO/SAML/2FA), SSL Certificates, Java Key Stores
- Exposure to application monitoring / logging tools such as Dynatrace and Splunk
- Knowledge of ETL tools and concepts (DataStage, SSIS)
- Exposure to Cloud based delivery platforms (Azure, AWS)
- Experience working in large, highly regulated corporate environments (Banking / Financials)
- Knowledge of consumer default and credit risk platforms including bankruptcy tracking, collateral recovery (repo), risk models and collections
- Exposure to both Agile/Scrum and Waterfall software delivery models
