Global Quality Management Systems EngineerAllied Mineral Products is a leading manufacturer of monolithic refractories worldwide. We are seeking a Global Quality Management Systems Engineer who will be responsible for overseeing the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) at Allied Mineral Products and all affiliates, ensuring compliance with ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001). This role requires a strong understanding of quality principles, auditing techniques, and regulatory requirements. International travel will be required for this position.Key Duties:
Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive QMS that aligns with ISO standards and organizational objectives.
Conduct regular internal audits to assess QMS effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
Develop and implement corrective action plans to address non-conformities and prevent recurrence.
Ensure that all relevant documentation, records, and procedures are maintained and updated as needed.
Stay informed about relevant industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
Conduct regular compliance reviews to ensure adherence to ISO requirements and applicable laws.
Represent the organization in regulatory audits and inspections.
Lead the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to enhance QMS effectiveness and efficiency.
Facilitate root cause analysis and problem-solving activities.
Drive a culture of quality and customer satisfaction throughout the organization.
Develop and deliver training programs to employees on QMS requirements, procedures, and best practices.
Provide coaching and mentorship to team members to support their professional development.
Collaborate with management, employees, and external stakeholders to ensure QMS alignment with organizational goals.
Communicate effectively on QMS status, progress, and challenges.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering or Science discipline, quality management, or other similar technical field, or equivalent work experience.
Strong understanding of ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 140001, ISO45001) and their application to manufacturing processes.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management within a manufacturing environment.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in relevant software applications (e.g., quality management software, Microsoft Office).
Must be able to travel internationally. Trips are typically 1 - 2 weeks in duration.
