Description We are looking for a meticulous Graphic Designer to join our team in the printing/publishing industry in Westlake, Ohio. This role primarily involves revising, adjusting, and laying out book designs, as well as preparing print files and creating marketing layouts. This position offers a short term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Handle the revision of book designs, including text updates and layout adjustments Assemble print files for various titles, ensuring their accuracy before sending them to the printer Create 4-page or 8-page marketing layouts for promotional pieces Work on-site, utilizing a surface computer for all tasks Ensure all print layouts are detailed and accurate, with no room for error Meet set timelines for all projects Utilize Adobe Creative Cloud to create and edit designs Develop social media marketing materials, including 4-panel and 8-panel layouts and small ads Use Microsoft tools for various tasks Create and manage content for social media advertising campaigns. Requirements Possess a minimum of one year of experience in the field of graphic design Proven proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Flash, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe InDesign Experience in creating advertisements, banner ads, brochures, and social media graphics Demonstrable ability to increase brand awareness through design Knowledge of design controls and ability to apply them in the creation of designs Proven ability to create engaging social media content and advertisements Familiarity with various publishing tools and content publishing platforms Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment Possess strong communication and collaboration skills Understanding of the printing/publishing industry and its design requirements Must have a portfolio demonstrating creative skills and diversity of design styles.
