Overview:Be a part of the fun! Kings Island is looking for applicants to work as an assistant to our Group Sales Team. Ideal applicants should have professional communication skills and like to work in a fun and fast-paced environment. This position will work directly with the Group Sales Department to book Youth and Friends & Family catered and non-catered events. This includes working as a liaison with both internal and external partners on the booking and execution of group sales business. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to; fielding incoming calls and inputting reservations into our ticketing systems, gathering event detailing information for our catered events, assisting with data entry of group sales contracts and reporting, and working with clients to answer questions about their contract and event details. The position may require long hours potentially working on your feet any may also require transporting event supplies such as tables, chairs and tents.Responsibilities:

Answer incoming calls and fields questions related to group visits.

Input reservations for small groups and youth groups using our ticketing system.

Provide accurate product and program information including suggesting up-sell products as appropriate.

Correspond via email with clients regarding website inquiries for information.

Review all internal memos and park planners to maintain a high level of knowledge for all group sales products, client events, and other general park and marketing information.

Assist with the execution of various in-park youth programming and events.

Assist with content creation for youth-focused marketing materials.

Participate in outbound call campaigns and client research for event prospecting.

Assist with Corporate, Small Group and Youth Group catered and non-catered events in the park as needed.

Utilize strong written and verbal communication skills, including speaking in front of groups.

Possess excellent computer, data entry, and typing skills, and previous office administration experience is a plus.

Utilize problem solving skills, including having the ability to remain patient, poised, and alert to cope with challenging/unique situations.

Possess a positive attitude and approach.

Utilize strong listening and interpersonal skills.

Demonstrate strong time management, planning, and organizational skills in order to optimize productivity.

Ability to work evenings, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
