Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Help Desk Analyst II based in UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio. The successful candidate will be involved in the tech industry, primarily providing support to students to ensure their devices are efficiently connected to our wireless and wired networks. This role is crucial in maintaining the smooth operation of technological services, especially during peak class periods.Responsibilities: Assist students in connecting their devices to our wireless and wired networks efficiently and effectively. Utilize networking and troubleshooting skills to resolve any connectivity issues in a timely manner. Be available during evenings and weekends to provide necessary support during high-usage periods. Employ knowledge of Wireless Access Points to enhance the connectivity experience of the students. Conduct Basic Network Troubleshooting to identify and rectify any network-related problems. Use Basic Troubleshooting skills to solve issues related to hardware. Troubleshoot a variety of network issues to ensure optimal connectivity at all times. Maintain an understanding of the latest developments in computer networking and wireless networking to better assist students. Requirements Proficiency in computer networking and wireless networking Familiarity with wireless access points Demonstrated skills in basic network troubleshooting Ability to troubleshoot hardware issues Experience in general troubleshooting procedures Proven capability to troubleshoot network issues Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to work in a team environment Capacity to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively Possess strong problem-solving abilities Knowledge of ITIL processes and ITIL Certification would be advantageous Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+ will be considered an asset Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field is preferred Prior experience in a help desk or IT customer service setting is desirable Willingness to continue learning and improving technical skills Ability to work flexibly to cover shifts as required Must comply with all data privacy and security standards and procedures.
