Saint Henry Consolidated Local School District seeks a High School Spanish Teacher for a position in Saint Henry, Ohio. Teach high school Spanish at St. Henry School. Teach high school students Spanish I, Spanish II, and Spanish III (Grades 9-12). In charge of classroom management, grading, preparing lesson plans, and executing the teaching of the lesson plans to high school students who attend St. Henry High School in St. Henry, Ohio. Work will be evaluated regularly by the high school Principal through the Ohio Teaching Evaluation System (OTES). Fulfill professional development requirements per the teaching contract signed by the St. Henry Schools School Board and St. Henry Schools Teacher Union. Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish OR Translation OR Related Field. Foreign degree equivalent is acceptable. Candidates must have appropriate Certificate/License from Ohio Department of Education (Ohio public schools) by the start date. Must be fluent in written and spoken Spanish. Academic program(s) must have included one course each in the following areas: (1) Advanced Readings in Specialized Texts; (2) Contrastive Language Studies, including analytical skills and linguistic features of a language, lexis, morphology, syntax, and discourse features; (3) Introduction to Terminology Management, including creating subject-field-specific terminologies and the terminographic recording; (4) Translation Computer Applications; and (5) Theory of Translation and Interpretation. Qualifications may be evidenced by academic or other letter(s) of reference, course or class syllabi or descriptions, or transcripts if requested. Salary $56,490 per academic year.
